Denemarken, Deens noodgeld, Graafschap Aabenraa, Stad Graasten

Met vriendelijke groet,

Sneppie57

The notes for Graasten is under german notgeld - gravenstein. But maybe you have danish issues different from those in Deutsches Notgeld catalogue?

Regards
Ernie

It seems to have come under Danish rule after a plebiscite in June of 1920.

The plebiscites were held on 10 February and 14 March 1920, and the result was that the larger northern portion (Zone I) voted to join Denmark, which occurred 15 June 1920, while the smaller southern portion (Zone II) voted to remain part of Germany.

Het klopt helemaal.  Het was destijds nog duits gebied.

Hello! I'm the referee for Danish notgeld notes/propeganda notes :D

We do have Graasten municipality in the Danish notgeld section of the catalog. But it doesn't have any items assigned and thus won't show up in the search results.

And if I understand the discussion right, as far as I'm aware the precedent is to have issuere located under their current geographic aproximation. Eg. Bohemia and Moravia under Czeckia, not Czeckoslovakia, since B&M were located entirely within modern day Czeck Republik, nothing in Slovakia.

Looking forward to have Graasten in Aabenraa added to the catalog! :D

Can you add a picture or a link to a picture of the same note as you got? It sounds to me, like it should be under the Danish Notgeld section, since that's areas now belonging to Denmark, even if they were then German

Ik wacht even op de reactie van Idolenz als scheidsrechter van het Duitse notgeld

Idolenz is not the referee for German notgeld, but I'll tag the referee for German notegeld: @Silberschatz

In general, Notgeld that was issued when the place was part of Germany goes under German notgeld and Notgeld that was issued after the place became part of Denmark goes under Danish notgeld.

Dan staan de biljetten die ik heb op de juiste plaats. Het zijn overigens allemaal biljetten met de waarde Mark wat ook naar Duitsland verwijst denk ik.
