The Kachar/Dimasa_Kingdom
(also known as the Dimasa Kingdom) was a powerful medieval state in Northeast India, ruled by the Dimasa people from approximately the 9th century until its annexation by the British in 1832. As one of the earliest indigenous kingdoms in the region, it spanned parts of present-day Assam, Nagaland, and the Cachar district.
