Series dedicated to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Netherlands. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites are places of importance to cultural or natural heritage. Cultural heritage consists of monuments, groups of buildings, and sites, while natural heritage consists of natural features, geological and physiographical formations, and natural sites which are important from the point of view of science, conservation or natural beauty. The first site in the Netherlands was inscribed in 1995.
The series consists of 5 Euros coins, made of silver plated copper and silver (0.925), some coloured, and 10 Euros coins, made of gold (0.900), minted by the Royal Dutch Mint since 2012.
