There are thousands and thousands of coins that have the script field populated correctly but show up in search results when “Script: Unidentified” is selected, not because the script is unidentified or unknown or not entered but because there is no script on the obverse or reverse (or both) of the coin.
For example there are 628 Ancient Greek coins with the lettering “ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ”:
When you select “Script: Greek” all 628 of those coins show up in the results indicating that the “Script” field for all of them have correctly been assigned to “Greek”
However since there is no script on the obverse, 608 of those same coins show up when you select “Script: Unidentified”
Not a single one of those coins has any unidentified script or any script that has yet to be input!!! All of them have no script on the obverse and Greek script on the reverse.
It is extremely frustrating searching for coins that need the script to be identified and/or input only to be flooded with thousands of coins where the data has been input correctly and do not need to be modified.
