Lead 1942 - real or fake?

Dicussione circa Indocina Francese • ¼ Cent

3.3 g

Original it suppose to be zinc.
With this weight 3.3gr and looking to the scratches and other damages it could be lead.
But why would someone trouble himself to made one of these out of lead?
There are more than 600.000.000 real ones minted…

I allways think, that is a fake. But, yesterday I see at the coin's page at Numista “1941 Lead; 4.9 grams”.
After that, I have opened Lecompte  “Coins and Jetons of Indochina” and found this:

in this case i dont understand)))

Ok, but yours is 3,3 gram instead of the 4,9 grams this 1941 coin suppose to be,
and yours is 1942 and not 1941….

...you can run,  but you can't hide...

I think the operative word in LeCompte is FAUX, in which case the date difference may not be a big factor. They're pointing out it's a fake without documenting all the dates that may have been used. I think it worth more than a zinc one to the right person.
