Hi!
I'm new here, just wondering why Polish coins are called Zloty and Zlotys insead of “złoty” and “złote” (złotich)
Czech cents are for example called Haléřů
Thanks!

Some languages have more than one plural form with numbers. Polish is one of them
You do not see that with Czech cause they do not have 1 haler or 2 halera coins
You might be also looking at transliterated name.

Thank you for your answer. And sorry, I did not explain myself quite as good as i wanted to. My question was:
why Polish coins are shown with English denomination, whithout the special carachter “ł” and using the English plural form, while other coins, are in their own languages? Czech coins were just an example.

thanks, being a newbie I had no idea. Can I guess this is still an ongoing process, and then this case has with the underlined part to do?
“Please bear with us during this lengthy process. Once we are in a better position, we can work together in improving the data (adding the name of the denomination in the language of the country of the coin, fixing remaining errors, etc.)”
Don't want to do a big deal of it but I thought it was a relevant difference between two quite similar languages.
I remember this change and ridiculos english plurar versions created from polish plural +s (zlotychs, groszys).
Anyway, polish version of Numista is under translation. Hope it will be avaliable in coming months so the titles in this version should be in polish (złoty, złote, złotych).
Yes, sounds really strange to me as well. I'm just getting to know Numista but I find it generally compelling and consequent, thus this plural form has been quite a surprise. Thanks for your answers!
Polish translation is stalled, we are currently looking for more translators.
