to start, sorry for the bad images.

the coin is really worn on both side, I like it either way and I got It cheap but the best I could come up with is

Apollo looking left on the obverse and someone on a horse facing right, someone told me maybe Phillip second type coin but I’m not sure.

the coin I think is around 22mm roughly across and weights somewhere around 15g-16g, any help would be appreciate, thank you

With a portrait to left, and one horse behind

the other and legs at the similar angles, and tail out -

N#437732

looks similar, and is the same size.

Yeah that’s the best ive seen to match it, I’m sure they probably used a little more bronze than normal to make because after I posted this I went back to check the size and weight and it weighs 25g and width is 22mm which is slightly bigger than the one you mentioned but it’s close enough for me, either way it’s not going anywher.

i only have $8 for it, I only collect and don’t sell, occasionally I may trade something if I have doubles or more.

thank you for your help 😁

what else I found on Google which may be the reason for the size difference in my coin and the one you came up with and I’m not sure how true it is lol but apparently they made different sizes/denominations and my coin it’s the bigger one, kinda like the different amount of currency we have now, what do you think about that is there any truth to that

Did not look at the weight just the diameter. Maybe other

members who know about ancient coins will reply.

Cool, thank you for the help

There are a couple of very similar Syracusean coins. For example these are closer in weight and there is a spear at the hand of the horseman, which is somewhat visible on the coin:
N#396690

N#187662

Also you can find a bunch of other similar variations here: https://www.wildwinds.com/coins/greece/sicily/syracuse/hieron_II/t.html

Oh nice, I think you got it because with the tracing around the horseman and horse that helped a lot, thank you 😊

Again that you both for the help on identifying my coin, I really appreciate it
