​Detailed Request to Add Lapland as a New Issuer (Coins, Tokens, and Banknotes)

​Hello Numista Team, Forum Administrators, and Catalog Referees, I am opening this ticket to formally request the creation and addition of a new issuer in the Numista catalog. The requested entity to be added is Lapland (Laponya), which is geographically situated in northern Scandinavia, predominantly within the borders of Finland. Currently, the Numista database has an excellent framework for categorizing non-circulating, promotional, regional, and fantasy items under sections like "Fantasy Places" or as sub-sections of sovereign states. However, Lapland is currently missing from this list. It is important to note that the numismatic history of Lapland includes a wide variety of items. Collectors worldwide actively collect not only regional coins and exonumia such as tokens, but also highly detailed souvenir banknotes and paper currencies issued for the region. Because there is no designated "Lapland" issuer option available when creating a new entry, it is impossible for users to properly log, catalog, or swap these pieces. Adding Lapland as an issuer—either under the "Fantasy Places" category or as a specialized sub-category—will greatly improve the catalog's accuracy and allow the community to contribute these missing coins, tokens, and banknotes.
