I love the Voyageur dollars, but I hope next year we only let one in the contest, or perhaps even none, only because there were so many the last two contests.
OK guys, the point is to read the article about the Voyagers, history is one of the best things about coin collecting. we should open a separate post for "ideas for the next contest".
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
I think That's because one was his so he felt because one was his and he is running the competition it had to face off against other coins I know I would sort of feel the same.

Kind of, but there is an "algorithim" that I have to follow when placing the coins in the sub-rounds. There isn't much wiggle room. I did try to get it it a lot, but ultimately it had zero impact on the outcome of the contest (and I did the same to other popular coins that belong to other people).
I would have preferred to see a format similar to the tennis draws where you have two coins the winner moves on and the loser drops out. There were a couple of times in this competition when the same coin seemed to be up 3 or 4 rounds in a row.

That's what I think too.
