Guess my 1000th coin

At the moment, I have 820 coins in my collection. I would like to start a contest to guess my 1000th coin. Every member can only guess once. Your guess must be a specific Numista page, with a year (and a mintmark and variety, if applicable). Of course, I don't expect you to guess the exact coin, the winner will be whoever is closest. Voting will close once I hit 980 coins.

The winner will receive a prize.

The contest is closed and there is a winner!

Well it all depends on what order you choose to enter your coins when you get a few at a same time.
But anyway
My guess is:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1404.html
year 1996
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces12806.html 1857 (without the dots)
The way I did that: I found which country he has the most coins from. I found the avg. date from that country. I found the most common face value from that country. And boom.

Especially when you consider the fact that I already have it!  :P

I don't collect American coins!
That 'd be a valuable 1000th coin:

I looked today (906 showing) to see how closer you are, so 86 more than the start, and 94 to go.  :°

That's a good trade, congratulations...

Only one small correction:

By that time (1945), Kingdom was no more existed, it was taken by Tito and communists.

Indeed, Dutch coinfairs are really cheap. Found a 1861 Nova Scotia 1 cent, at least XF, for 1€.

Aha,

but I thought that you are talking about some coins from my collection.  x.

Well, there is nothing bad in having double coins for swap, I think.

That's not a bad option.  :D

But sometimes it is better to swap double coins for some other coins that you don't have...just saying.

(silver) Netherlands 2½ Gulden - Queen Juliana

Because you like silver so much and don't have this type yet!  ;)

This is what I would recommend, https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17144.html only one year
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Looking for pre 1783 coins
Latvian 5 Lats 1932.
Probably (if not) the most beautiful pre-World War II Baltic state coin..... and you don't have it  8.
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4851.html  1919-B.  It's one of my favourite coins, and I see you don't have one.

Probably the nicest European coin of the 20th century!
A coin with face value 1000 would be appropriate; such as this 1000 Lire, issued in the year 2000.

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces20092.html

If you prefer an older one, the Brazilian 1000 Reis would do fine as well.
This commemorative 1900 issue may be a little expensive:

But the 1906 to 1913 are fairly common, I've just posted an 1911 one on the other thread.

This one's probably the nicest Polish coin.

Actually, my favourite 20th century coin is this... but the Latvian one would be best silver, probably.
I'm restarting the contest now - all guesses made before are still valid. I probably reached 1000 coins already but I was not on Numista, so too bad. I will count my 1000th coin including my coins for swap (before I used to put all my coins for swap in my Numista "collection" as well).

Kind of ambitious, to mint your own coin as a commemorative for your 1000th, don't you think?  :°  :P
How do you determine who is closest?

However I feel like!

Of course I'll provide my rationale.

The prize and the winner will be posted shortly.
It turns out the winner, Tom Wolf, is no longer active on Numista. If he ever comes back I'll give him a prize.

Meanwhile, here is my 1000th coin, guessed exactly by Tom Wolf!
