50 Satang query

Pubblicazioni di 7
Full disclosure, I am by no means a coin collector but I do enjoy seeing the new coins (I'm Canadian so there are always new quarters and loonies to find) and when I find a foreign coin I hang on to it but they usually get lost... Anyway!

So the other day I'm walking home and I step over what I think is a penny. As I said, I am Canadian -- they are not exactly in circulation anymore. For the first time in my life I went back for it, I thought it might be lucky. When I picked it up I knew it wasn't a penny at all but there was no English on it other than '50' which I could identify. After googling for quite a while I finally gave up. Tonight with my husbands help and this site we were able to identify it as 50 Satang (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces7974.html).

Now my question is... is it wonky? If I turn the coin left to right one side is upside down (I hope that make sense), I've never seen a coin like that before but then.. neither have I ever seen a coin from Thailand  :)

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
You mean coin alignment?

Take a look at US coins, they do that too. Not so wonky, huh. :O
