They were all same, just edge lettering orientation were exist as we talked in another topic.
In 2012 new UNC coins issued in circulation with same year 2006 (2nd standard here). It was quite visible, as we used these coins 6 years and most of them were F-VF, and a plenty of UNC coins were shiny among old ones.
I had a doubt that these new 1 Lari with same design were minted probably as restrike, and probably at another Mint. Now I found time to research this case, , so share with you my discoveries .

First, look at 1st standard coins from 2006 issue. As you see they have all same edges:

Now, compare lettering of 1st standard vs lettering of second standard. Here are several quite visible differences:
1. Thin letters in 1st standard and Bold letters in 2nd standard:

2. Long words in 1st standard VS short words in 2nd:

And, as result of this we have different distance from star to words: in first standard its short ( as words are long) , and in second standard its long ( as words are short)

3. And, finally, the rim in 1st standard is wide, while in 2nd standard its narrow.

So, I can conclude that Georgian 1 Lari coin may be divided on 2 standards ( or types, as you want ) :
1 1st Standard ( struck in 2006) : Wide rim, edge lettering with long words with thin letters, distance between star and words are short.
2. 2nd Standard ( restike with same year, probably another Mint) : Narrow rim, edge lettering with short words with bold letters, distance between star and words is wide.
Hope to find a time to observe 50 tetri and 2 GEL coins as well.
Yours,
David
