Nice gift

Hello forum!

I'm going to talk about a great idea I had. I recently started dating a girl (about 9 months ago so I believe it's a bit on the long term girlfriend side of things    ). As we started to know eachother we talked about a lot of stuff. We also shared some things we like

She shared her love for horses and equestrian sports, and to show me how it was like, she took my to ride a horse (I was scared ahaha). She also shared that she has played volleyball in the past, and we played together

I could show her some of my passions too. I taught her how to solve a rubik's cube, a great hobby of mine and she likes it now
But my problem was with sharing the passion for coins... I showed her a lot of coins, almost my entire collection. I once showed her how I pack my coins to swap and how I store them in my collecction... But I couldn't really bring her into it, I could show her the coins but not share my passion...

Until I got this great idea

I was looking for a nice gift to give her and I thought "Well, I could give her a coin"
But it couldn't be any kind of coin, it had to be special. And then I thought of the olympic 50p coins. They have one for equestrian sports and one for volleyball so why not give her both?

After searching for swap partners I found someone who was willing to trade them and so I did!
I gave my girlfriend those coins and she loved them! I believe I managed to really share my passion with her and for her by giving her an unusual gift that no one would thing of!

I have to thank this website for the coins I had no other way to obtain

And I have a question to you all, have coins ever helped you on your love life? ahaha

Hey man, it is very good story, but presenting things what is Your obsession, for me it sounds a bit selfish.

I totally agree with guys here- this hobby and super love do not match at all.

So please- present her something connected with horses. Ride on white one in the moonlight or smt.
And believe- she will present some coin for You later. :P

I actually believe it's not selfish at all. We both do it all the time, everyone does  
It's actually selfless, I'm sharing something I love with someone I love, and she liked it

She's quite interested in coins now! She looks at every coin she gets in change since I showed her that euro coins have different designs. And she also wants to pack coins for swaps with me, she told me that just today!

And I did present her something related to both horses and coins, a coin with horses!  
As for the horse riding thing... Nah, I'm scared of riding horses  

I think she might like ancient roman and greek coins. Many of them contain in their design a horse. Well, this can be an expensive collection but sounds great.

Did she really like it or did she only act interrest? Its quite difficult to judge everything trough rose-coloured glasses. Woman are quite good at simulating stuff like at that. :)

I would buy her a coin which you also like and say its a token she can use for 1 day of horse riding together. If she redeems it to you, you join her one day to the stables but you get paid that coin for that torture. Win-Win

She liked it for real, we've been dating for a while and we promised to lie as least as possible even when it is a bit "painful". And she showed genuine interest because she said she wanted to pack coins with me just out of nowhere

And that token idea... Yeah, it'd be quite hard for me to do it because I am truly scared of riding  
Also, she hasn't ridden in a while because she left the equestrian center she was at because the owner/teacher was a (insert mean word I can't say in the forum)!

That is a very nice thing to do.
