Copyright on texts

Pubblicazioni di 3
I know that we have a rules on copyright for pictures of coins but were do we stand with texts?
I ask because I stumbled over a new comment on this coin page and this is a wohle passage out of 'Early Japanese Coins' from David Hartill.
The person responsible for adding this comment should have at least rewritten the segment and not only left out a few words here and there .

At least thats what I think.
If you're speaking about the comments, I would say you're right with your copyright/author's rights restrictions, we should avoid plagiarism. But maybe this can be got round by other ways, as making them citations, for example... This should be a new debate for the whole community, as it's good to inform other people collecting such coins, but with regards to the work of all these writers which were cited in our website.

Hello,

Citations are commonly used around in books, let's just do as in books, "xxxxxxx" Martin and Johnson, 1882, Coins of the Middle Morning .

Ask all referees and users to do so. It is also a way to make people know of the books that exist.
