I am after circulation coins minted during the Second World War (1939 to 1945) from Nazi Germany, Greece and other countries but NOT from France, Spain or the UK.

I can perhaps buy them, or swap them.
Matt
I have some some 1pfennig coins from the Third Reich 1940-1943, and some 20centesimi coins from Fascist Italy available. Take a look at my trade list and see if there's anything you're looking for.
I also have a lot, not on my swaplist. Will be finishing adding all, over the next 10 days or so. Had to take a week off work next week just to finalise my Numista list - that is how dedicated to this site I am
A brief summary of 1939 to 1945 countries I have for exchange (not sure if you want any country, or just those that took part - for want of a better expression) ... Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Ceylon, Denmark, East Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Iceland, India - British, Ireland, Malaya, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States.
So remove France and Spain and there are 21 other countries.

ALL countries. If you PM me when you have them in your swap list, and then I can take a look. Thanks.

That's what I like to see - a man that is truly serious about his hobby. Heaven forbid we should let our source of income get in the way of what we enjoy!
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.

Thanks - I had a bit of time tonight so added a few, and just now got to exactly coin number 5,000.
It is now 2:00AM so better get some rest before the weekend and next week's entering marathon !

Most of these posts don't add any value to the forum, and aren't even interesting to read...
How's your swap list coming, Tony?
Is it worth me having a look at what you have listed, or do you need more time?
Cita: moneyer121i have quite a lot of spare wartime occupation issues...............but you didn't want them.
It's not that I didn't want them, rather you don't have them listed on Numista and wanted me to access them via Colnect, which I was not happy about doing. I suggested you catalogue them on Numista, if you want to swap with people here.
Perhaps I was being unreasonable. But that's how I like to do it.

not all people on colnect are shysters, as kuba has said on another thread we have had many positive threads, i did a brilliant cross forum swap with reffarim from brazil and it worked superbly. btw most of the ww2 issues have are the zinc ones. i am also expecting some naafi tokens from the occupation of germany.....

I never meant to imply you are a shyster. I simply like to do my swaps through Numista, and nothing in the run up to Christmas when:
a) I am too poor to afford the postage
b) The postal service becomes slow and even more unreliable
Hi there :)
I'm not sure if I have anything of interest to you but all my collection that is on here is listed on ebay atm but am happy to sell them on your terms within reason of course :)

i don't know if a 1936 5 mark would interst you. if yes, let me know.
I'm absolutely gutted that Matt has left and, like many others I'm sure, extremely curious as to why. He is a very knowledgeable collector and although I didn't always agree with his point of view, he was a very lively contributor to the forum and Numista will be worse off for his departure.

I am seriously thinking about leaving. I believe I may have been cheated out of some coins by 2 members that I was convinced were honest members. After 3 weeks, one guy finally admitted that he has not shipped my coins yet because he has been busy. The other guy claims that he mailed the coins. What worries me is that if I do not get the coins and if I leave negative feedback, they will probably claim that they did not get the coins that I sent and leave negative feedback for me. That will scare others and I will not be able to swap.
I guess that's the risk of trading on a site like this -- its very trust-based, and any bad actor could really throw a wrench in the system. I prefer only to trade with people who are active on the boards, because at least then I know you have some desire to continue being a member of the site.
As for rudeness on the forums, I think the anonymity issue is at play, and I've been guilty of being ruder/meaner than I perhaps should have been. On the other hand, though, once I've made swaps with people who are on the forums, I find myself desiring to be as friendly as possible -- I think the swap dynamic takes away the anonymity factor.
There are some people, though, who are way too sensitive. See the 1876 Finland 50 Pennia thread for example.

Umm...I would happily clean up the forum and remove many pages of topics but I don't know whether that is ok or not and people might use the forum to refer back to.
