One uses U in lettering while other uses V.

Maybe not, but I have seen such separated coins like thousand times in the catalogue. And on a personal note, I believe this separation is better - if they were unified, how could you separate those two on a single sheet? Listing numerous variants and putting loads of images to comment section? I think that with cross reference and comments between these two, everything will be fine.
Krause is not always the best reference as sometimes amalgamating big varieties of coins. Poland-Lithuania is not the only exmple as I found other ones in Swiss cantons.
