Cannot be true since the last issue was in 2013 I suppose they don't intended to use those coins just 3 years.

Perhaps someone mixed up the notions of 'no longer produced' and 'demonetized'.
King Albert retired so these coins are no longer produced, but they continue to be legal tender and circulate freely, by the millions.

Seems like another change request which was unthoughtfully accepted by the referee?
