My present

Pubblicazioni di 6
Hello my name is Rafael. I live in Bakersfield CA and today a friend gave me a pendant that resembles the 1962 Regina Elizabeth II sixpence. This is my first time using this site so please bear with me. I do have pics.

Can you tell me more about it. Like how many were made, when, and the value?
Welcome Rafael , Don't know about the value, But it is very nice. Well I like it
It is, what it is, or is it.
Welcome Rafael: I saw this one on E Bay - looks like yours. Sad anyone would do that to a beautiful coin. Ed
Here is more info on the coin.

Those who believe they can do something and those who believe they can't are both right.

It will be a normal coin that someone has painted/enameled
as Neil said, a standard circulating piece enamelled for the purpose of jewellery. Some like it but those are usually not collectors as this is like letting a 5 year old loose with cans of spray paint near something valuable in the collectable sense. :|

There are plenty of these on eBay. I have even seen some early George III half crowns with this done to them.:snif:

I've seen a group over here that does it to Rhodesian pennies. It's a good gig, get a whole clutch of coins for a pittance, slap some paint on them and sell them for $5 each. That one looks to be a bit more valuable though because they've taken the time to put a mount around it.
