Djibouti 10 Franc KM 23 1999 Mintage

Numista has mintages for several of these coins which don't appear elsewhere and there is a major discrepancy with many of the numbers.

The most glaring is the 1999 issue. According to K&M the 1997and 1999 issues were only available in sets and have mintages of 350 and 1,800 respectively. Numista however only lists the 1997 coin as a set issue and the mintages are 1,800 and a massive (relatively) 850,000 for the 1999 coin.



I'm not sure what to make of this, the catalog value seem very modest for the tiny mintages quoted by K&M but proportionately seem to be in line with the K&M numbers. Does anyone know the source for the figures quoted in Numista?

I have the 1999 coin. As it is minted in Paris it is well possible the French guys of Numista have better sources than K&M.
