Byzantine Coinage

I'd like to thank whoever (probably Chompmaster??) tidied up and re-arranged the Byzantine coinage. A good job well done. I don't suppose it matters in the general scheme of things, but are we encouraged to call a follis a follis or 40 nummi, a half follis 20 nummi and so on? Don't particularly care either way, but when I get round to adding things I'd like to know which is the preferred nomenclature. I won't even dare to ask about later names post Alexis.

Because so few of us speak another language! Or at least, not well.

Time to tell some things about this old topic I wasn't able to answer.

Most names were existing before I became referee. I wasn't able to correct all these names yet. However, despite both namings are in fact correct, that's right to say that, for example, Follis and Half-follis are much more used than 40 Nummi or 20 Nummi. And in the same way lower subdivisions have a specific "Greek-Latin name" which is like a stick of its native value in Nummi (ex. Decanummium for 10 Nummi, Pentanummium for 5 Nummi, only citing the most frequent ones). Some changes may come in the future.
