Coins with official status that belonged elsewhere..

I remember the problems we had with Australia and the "Proclamation coinage"

What was the outcome of this ?

Recently I've tidied up my Gibraltar collection and realised more Spanish coins were given official status than I realised so I've sought some. My thoughts are to add a comment to the main file to say something along the lines of Given official status in Gibraltar 18xx- xxxx at (what ever the rate was) e.g. 4s6d for an 8 real file.
