Qatar 10 Dirhams 1972 (1392) [Risolto]

World Coins, and Schön, indicate a year 1972 (1392) for this coin, supposedly struck at 1.5 million copies.

This year is not on the Numista sheet of this coin, and after research on the net, I have not found any information. So I guess it simply doesn't exist, but I would like to have confirmation.

If it's a deliberate act to remove this year of Numista sheet, it would be interesting (especially important) noted in the comments that same sheet, just to inform, and also to avoid that one day he will be added if it does actually not exist.

The "Comment field" on the sheets is too little used, while it has important, and this on all the catalog!

Actually I notice your dates doesn't match with the ones in the coin... and I own this coin or at least is listed as I own it... but under 1973 now. if there was a change we will not be able to see that. I guess sometimes not only a link is sufficient but a photo as catalog changes are not showed in any comment area.

Sorry just saw this.

- Yes this year line is still listed in Krause
- It was listed in Numista until I requested its deletion a while ago, and moved owners to the other year line 1973
- No info whatsoever is found online about this year - no pictures as well. With mintage of 1.5 millions, this is very weird to say the least
- The currency itself and the issuing of the coins started mid 1973, so it doesn't make sense to have coins dated 1972
- I haven't had time to do all work on Qatar coins, except for deletion of non-existent year lines, as I think is a priority. I've deleted many many wrong year lines (which are listed in Krause) from UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait, and fixed issues with Gregorian/Islamic years not matching (which are also mentioned incorrectly in Krause)
- I agree it's helpful to mention that info, however with the enormous amount of mistakes in Krause, I'm not sure we can list everything
- I do try to use the comments section as much as I can, and I have plans for more info to be added when I have time. 1 for example is adding pictures of every year line!
