I have to learn a little about history. I just know the historic importance of Sudetenland.
Today it seems strange cause Czech is surrounded by Euro !
And I had in my mind that Slovakia was poorer and less advanced than Czech but they have integrated Euroland ...
Answer lies within National bank and it's idiots, who did not wanted to lose their power to the EU bank... And of course, political uneducation of Czechs in general...
My visit will be VERY classic :
Budvar Brewery, Vissy Brod Monastery, Hluboka Castle (South Bohemia), St Guy Cathedral, former Royal Palace, St George's Basilica, Golden Lane, Church of Our Lady of Victories, St Nicholas Church, Cristallerie and St Barbe Church . And my wife doesn't want to visit Auschwitz. It doesn't seem next to your house but I hope I'll enjoy anyway
Nice places. Golden Line is free after 5 PM I believe. But since you will visit other things within Prague castle, there are tickets to all things in one - including Golden Line. I have never been to Auschwitz. That place should have never existed.
Auschwitz does exist, although we wish it had not. I have visited there on three occasions, and still come away with more questions that I have yet to find an answer for. Mostly why, why and why?
If you look at the morals of the place and the historical facts it holds, there should be a world wide law that make everyone go there, and then perhaps, the world might be a more peaceful place to live.

By the way, same as the WWII koruna (1939-1945) that is incorporated in the Slovakia country currency, might it be wise to incorporate the WWII curency of czech called at that time Bohemia and Moravia - Koruna (1939-1945) in the Czech Republic currency catalog ?
But it's true the Sudetenland was incorporated in Germany at that time so ... there were not the same frontiers !
Another remarq: the split between
- the third Republic (1945-1948)
- and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic called People's Republic from 1948 to 1960
does'nt match the currency split :
- Koruna (1945-1953)
- Koruna (1953-1960)
I would have called the Koruna after the devaluation of 1953 : People's Rep - new Korona
same as successive dévaluations of Yugoslavia
By the way the 1953 devaluation was strange (quote wiki) : People (those lucky enough not to fit into the category of "capitalistic elements", a pejorative category which the intelligence agency used to blacklist certain individuals) were allowed to change up to 1,500 old korunas for new korunas at the rate of 5 old to 1 new koruna and the rest at the rate of 50 to 1.
That split reflects that they never changed name of the republic on the coins until the grand theft of 1953. I described it in Venezuela jokinen's thread... crazy times, state robbed all the people of nearly all their savings.
