I have a challenge coin that isn't listed on here and I'm wondering if I should add it. I noticed there are many on here already but I'm brand new and don't know if there is an etiquette or set of rules to adding challenge coins.
If someone could shed some light on how people here feel about challenge coins I'd appreciate it.
When you say challenge coin do you mean the personal medals used by military folks? If you pull yours out and the other person does not than he has to buy the drink? Or do you mean something else? Because if you mean it in the first sense then I am not sure Numista is the place. A challenge coin is a personal medal and has never been currency or currency like, whereas a coin or a token is, was, or has functioned as currency.

A great many tokens without, which never had, monetary value are listed on here as tokens. So the opinion that those aren't welcome is kind of invalid.
Although that is exactly why I asked. I didn't want to just add the challenge coins I have, as a new member, without checking what the attitude was towards tokens like these. Now I have a team member encouraging me to include it and a user telling me not to.
Do what ever you want. You asked a question. You recieved two responses. Months ago. Nothing was said in malice. Nothing was incorrect or invalid. Do whatever you want. We refs try to approve every listing request we can. If any challenge coins have been listed before i wouldnt have known. I work with coins, not medals that have never been a coin or token. Like the team member who responded suggested, find a challenge coin listing and create a page. Im sure who is ever responsible for fantasy and medals will approve it.
