Hi,

I've just made the change request for this variant. Sorry for the traces of glue still left on the coin....

Ole: While checking E Bay I see also the 1980 and 1981 Peso has this same error. Very interesting.

Hi,

the1981 documentation is old, the 1980 I have never seen (so far, that is!). Can I use your image for a documentation? I suppose my 1980 coin is the closed variety, but I'll look it up later....

Hi,

I'm not really buying coins any more, I just swap with my more than 15.000 doubles and one day I might get around to get that coin in an exchange.... if not, then I can also live without it!

Ole, you can use my pictures too if you want. Whichever you think is the best:

Hi Edduns,

thank you, but I think it already came out quite nice?

Ole:I just bought this 1983 peso and was wondering if would qualify as an open 8.

Edduns,
it looks more like a filled die problem to me.
The 1983 have flat or round top "3" although I see "open" and "closed" "8" in my collection. I'll have a look at that!

Hi again,

I had a look at my two coins with closed and open, and yes, they exist! The opening is at the bottom of the 8 though.

You can also make a change request for this one, if you like?

Bonsoir Michel,

c'est dingue, ça!

Strange enough normally nobody interfeers when you tell them to look at your site!!

Je croix que je fais de pubs pour ta site aussi, non?

Michel's site is very well made and a must for all collectors also interested in variants.... Sometimes I use his images (with his permission, of course) to make my documentations, if I don't have the coins myself. My documentations come in jpg, whereas Michel's are in pdf, which numista doesn't accept in the "comments"! Many of mine are also available at Michel's site in pdf format, so spend some time there, please! His images are fantastic.

Bonne nuit Michel,

Cobra and Ole,

The point is:
"Je voulais juste signalé que j'avais fait des fiches sur les variétés les 1 Peso."
and that didnt happen.

Posting a link to your website randomly, does not help anyone, it's rather annoying and spam-y. Saying that "I've added these varieties to here *with direct link to concerned page*" or a mention of where to find it is more helpful and appreciated.

And of course, the use of good polite language is nice :)

Firstly, English on the English site please so everybody can contribute and understand. :) Your English may be poor, but I assure you most of us speak worse French than you do English.

The post was deleted because you linked the homepage to your website and nothing else. You also didn't link directly to relevant content, but simply to your homepage. This was explained in pm to you. To avoid any misunderstandings in future, please link directly to the relevant content and explain why you are posting the link. Otherwise it just looks like spam, and if it's reported we'll generally remove it. :)
My contribution to this forum is now complete.
I site the home page of my site because I think it is interesting to be able to share 1100 records on varieties.
But if that does not interest you ........................

Hi Michel,

they still interest me a lot. It's the first place I go, when the numista does NOT (quite often) show a variant and it's new to me!

I hope you stay on the French half?

Hello,

Back to the topic of adding variants to this coin's page, I have added all three (thank you Ole and Ed).

I have also updated the list of dates/varieties to include the 1981 open/closed 9, 1982 open 8 (like the 1983, it is open at the bottom), and the 1983 Proof open 8. Good luck looking for the newly added varieties.

Best regards,
David
