The obverse inscription is rendered as-
D (-ominus) N (-oster) Anastasius P (-ater) P (-atriae) Aug (-ustus) :
"Our lord Anastasius, father of the fatherhood, august".
P (-ater) P (-atriae) was in the early Empire used and translated as Father of the Fatherland but by the time of Anastasius was short hand for P (er) P (etuus) AVG (-ustus) or Everlasting Emperor. (See SBCV page 33). The translation therefore should be "Our Lord Anastasius Everlasting Emperor".
