Dominican Republic 1 Peso 1897 wrong mint information! [Risolto]

Pubblicazioni di 5
Hi,

the information in the catalog about the mint of this coin is wrong!
The coin shows the mintmark "A" for Paris, France and the typical privy marks blossom and fasces at the sides of the mintmark underscore this source!
In the Numista catalog this coin is described as struck in "Philadelphia mint" but this can not be correct!
Someone with more experience in changing the catalog should change this mistake !

Greetings,

I believe I read that the coin dies were from the Paris mint but they were used to strike the coins in Philadelphia. That goes for all of the 1897A silver coins.
OK, unusual but not inpossible!

I try to find out more about it.

This from the NGC site.
Note: Dies were made in Paris but the coins were struck at the Philadelphia mint.
