Italian Tokens

Hello Numistas!

Got this two tokens in a large lot, both have two holes, I guess they are some part of a jewelry, I searched through the internet for any info without success, have you ever seen anything like that?

Any thoughts of what they could be? What kind of jewelry, or if they had other use.

The larger's obverse seems to be an imitation of the 20 Lire of Umberto I issued 1879-1897:

His monogram 'U' is visible on the other side, and the size (22mm) is similar to the gold coin's. Probably made for cheap jewellery, given the holes.

The smaller is an imitation of the 5 Lire of Vittorio Emmanuele II issued 1863-1865, given it's size; probably made for the same purpose as the other token.

I've seen a lot of Egyptian/Ottoman gold imitation coins like those too, with holes for belly dancing costume accessories.

I really do collect Belly Dancer tokens/coins, I have even created a particular section of my collection to them, I guess these are from some kind of bracelet or wristband.

I still curious for where they come from and for what use, and if they were made specifically for acessory and for what kind of jewelry, if so.

Someone somewhere must have one equal. I hope so.
So I will leave the letterings here if someone google search for it =D

I think simply that it was used as pendant..."tarantella" do not admit this coins...
