French to English bug

Love this site!  As a newbie, I get the distinct sense this is a site with roots in French, and is being translated into English.  Which is much appreciated... it's gotta be tough to do.  Allow me to point out one small spelling error, which is driving me nuts!  In the phrase:

"Send a personnal message to Xavier"

The word personnal should be spelled "personal."

I know it's a little thing, but it's in such a prominent place that a misspelling there is very noticeable.

On the dashboard:

"counts" -> "contains". Possibly also delete "to date".

"message" -> "messages"

"Alderney - Pound (décimale, 1971-présent)" needs translating.

All minor things, but if you're offering it would be nice to change them!

Perhaps. I remember once adding something like 08-31-1977
as in month-day-year like it says, but it would not enter. Then
tried 31-08-1977 and it did enter, as in day-month-year.
I do not have any dates to enter here at moment, so not sure.

  In messages, can there be made like just the most recent 50 messages on the first page, then the rest on page 2 and so on, 50 per page. As when opening a message it takes time to load every one in there.
  In Numisdoc / Dates & calendars there is already a Japan section; will there be one for China also? Yes I know the numerals and general system are the same, but the emperors are not.

 Has there been a change to the pages or settings or something on here? I noticed two topics recently created on these English pages which were written in French; plus both included images not added to the topics directly but instead had links to Imageshack.
 Not complaining, just asking. And similarly, will my spelling notes earlier be implemented?

  It is a reference to the French version of this site. So anything with (fr) means that remark is on the page that begins  http://fr.  rather than the  http://en.  that this side of the site uses. So though it means nothing to us here (as such), it has been added by a French-speaking member, and must remain there. I guess the other way round may occur, and they sometimes see (en) on their coin pages.
 Though perhaps it can be amended; just explaining, in case you were not aware.

Another one - when rating a swap, the button says "Subscribe". Something like "Send" or "OK" would be better!

Do you think it's better to display the demonetization date as dd-mm-yyyy or mm-dd-yyyy for British people?

Displaying the personal messages on several pages is on my to-do list, but I haven't had time to do it yet.
I hadn't think of making a page about Chinese calendar before. But it could indeed be useful for dating Emperor Guangxu coins and Republican coins.

I forgot to speak about the French message "Echange ·1·". In fact, the language used is the language of the member who send the message. If English members contact you, or if you contact any member, the title is "Swap ·1·". I'm not sure if that the best way to do, but it seems quite reasonable.

Another correction: I mentioned above the "Your collection counts X coins". This was fixed, but a similar line also appears on country pages, such as here: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/cameroun-1.html.

I realise you can access these country pages by going into the country list and selecting the country. I usually access it by going to a particular coin page, then clicking on the country name in the notepad on the right. Even though the search box autocompletes and says, eg, "country:Cameroon", if you then click "Search" from that very page, it comes up with a results list that doesn't have that currency summary. Perhaps it would be good if you could also reach it this way, or by selecting the country in the Advanced Search, as long as all the other fields are empty?

Its like the catalog. It is actually catalogue.. That is American slang and Is not english.

Numista exists in both British English and American English. The choice is made automatically depending on the settings of your web browser, the default being British English. Mark240590, it seems that you don't see the appropriate version. Can you tell me the message you see on this page, so I can try to fix this problem?

Alastor, perhaps your second question should be discussed in another topic. The currency list is programmed to appear only when accessing the country page directly, for example from the country list page or from the notepad of a coin's page. But it doesn't appear as a result of a search request.

Not really an English to French error, but when mousing over a country in the dashboard, '1 coins' should be '1 coin'

And some of the English is the news on the homepage isn't up to scratch. I have posted a suggestion in the comments section of the newest one.

Your web browser states that your preferred language is American English, that's why Numista shows American English.

You can edit this in your web browser settings. I don't know the exact procedure since I don't know which browser you use, but there is generally a "language" option in the main settings. Make sure that British English is on top of your list of preferred languages.
