That's what the author of the page wrote.

"Concerning the date (1879) of the medal: Ville de Charleroi - 14 Juillet 1879, I am not sure that this medal was struck in that year. I had some difficulties to find more informations about that medal. In my opinion, this medal was struck later.
I continue to search for additional information and if I find the strike date or other informations, I will enter a modification request."
