Share Numista information with close friends who are not a Numista member [Risolto]

Pubblicazioni di 5
Hi, my dear Numista community,

Is there a possibility to share my personal Numista database with friends who are not a Numista member, a database only consultable, but not changeable, par exemple by a link of so ? My goal is to share this link to my friends and so they can see immediatly what I have and in what qualilty and to approve them, when possible.

Till today I struggled with divers excel (exel en open source files) and other kind of files. For one guy I must send him a PDF- file. An other girlfriend like the file in textformat. An other guy don't know anything about computers and for him it may be not to complicated. Others like to see it on my home pages, but since Windows 10 I don't even know how to change this infomartion myself and keep it op to date.

In my opinion must there be a simpler way and that is to share the link to my Numista database. How do I manage it ? Conditons: they may only consult, they never may change any data. Sharing paswords is so NOT DONE.

Maybe have somone in the community the same problem, or is the problem very simple to solute. I like to read your answers and your solutions. Sorry for my bad English, but Flemish is my mothers language (sorry, but my French is even wores). Accept my excuses.

Do you mean you want people to be able to see your collection?
If so you need to tick the box to allow it.
Here is my collection link
https://en.numista.com/echanges/voir_collection.php?id=6375
so here for example is my page 36 where the first three at the
top of that page show that I have in my collection >
2 x XF
1 x XF and 1 x UNC
1 x XF
and so on, for each page >

so if you allow it (change on your settings) your link will be
https://en.numista.com/echanges/voir_collection.php?id=39584
then when you have ticked the box (see below) you send people that 39584 ending link. :)

But if you want a document >
https://en.numista.com/vous/index.php
go to the end >

and you download it yourself (in a choice of three formats) and
then you send your document to them. But the link is better as it has pictures.

If your friends aren't Numista members then you should download your collection as an Excel (or Numbers) file (the last option above from Zac).

I'm not sure if non-members can view the collections of members on Numista.
Hello,

The tip of ZacUK is splendid
https://en.numista.com/echanges/voir_collection.php?id=6375
(6375 change it in your member number, for me p.e. 39584)

and it works perfectly for my purpose. Numista members can look up in my collection, but can't change anything in this database. That is where I'm looking for.

REMARKS for ZacUK - Where did you find this item ? I look up, but didn't found it in the English version (voir_collection;.php, maybe only in the French version ?). So I have copy your link, change member number in my own an use that as a link.

THX ZacUK

To CassTaylor - I knew about the existence of export in an excel file. To trouble with those exports are 1) you must send them to all your friends & 2) Next week that export file is already outdated.

ZacUK solution is much better. When I make a change at 12 o'clock, my friends see the adjusted data a few seconds later. And I have send them the link once and it stays always the same link, even if my data is continu changing.

(Sorry for my bad English, Flemish part of Belgium)

THX both of you
Thank you - the link can be found on your Profile page, now you have
ticked the box to allow others to view collection >
https://en.numista.com/echanges/profil.php?id=39584

And yes nobody can change collection - only you. :)
Which is also why only you can tick the box to allow others to view collection. I can not.
