Contemporary forgery?

What do you think about this coin? It seems to be in bronze or messing and has some remains of silver plate on it. It is heavily worn and that is what I think is strange. Why would a fake coin circulate for such a long time, when it is already obvious that it is fake..

The color doesn't bother me so much as the size. It is 2mm larger in diameter than normal. Given the heavy wear, it is understandable to be 5g underweight.

Looks like a contemporary forgery, although I'm not 100% certain. The lettering and size are strange.
I never saw a contemporary forgery for that type very interesting!

Yes the size difference is strange as this should normally be the most easiest part of making fake coins...
