I think this may have been suggested in the past but if not here it is; I wish for an option where adding coins to your swap list doesn't also automatically remove them from your collection.
My reasons for wanting this are twofold; the first being that I'm quite often unsure of whether I want to actually want to swap a coin or not. I usually only swap modern coins and doubles; and even then there's a grey area more often than I expect for whether to keep or swap a coin (e.g. which coin to keep if I have a double). I know some users have their collection areas very distinct from the other coins they put in their swap lists, but it would be nice for the rest of us to have this option.
The second being that having all your nicer doubles in a swap list attracts stupid swap offers for exchanging 19th century LMU silver against Lincoln Memorial cents, but not having a swap list at all makes it harder for actual swap partners to see if a coin type or date that I have up for swap is in their collection or not (as another member just pointed out to me earlier while we were discussing an exchange).
Hello CassTaylor,
I'm sorry I didn't understand your suggestion. What do you mean by "adding coins to your swap list doesn't also automatically remove them from your collection"? Is it only about counting coins "in my collection" and "to exchange"?
At the moment if I mark a coin in my collection as for swap, then it is no longer counted in my collection stats (-1 coin). My suggestion is to have an option where you can mark a coin for swap without that happening.
Hello CassTaylor,
It's now possible to see the statistics for coins for all coins (independently whether they are for swap or not), using a filter at the top of the collection dashboard.
You may also define these coins in a specific collection (by defining multiple collections in your account settings).
These 2 new features won't probably help directly for your issue, but at least they can help you fine-tune the statistics of your collection.
