1,827 new users joined Numista in December 2018, increasing the total member tally by 1.8%. This is the third-largest monthly increase in Numista's history, all three of which occurred in 2018.

In comparison, Numista added 1,304 new members in December 2017 and 1,001 new members in December 2016.

December's new members added 102,000 coins into their collections.

67% of December's new users have not yet entered a coin into their Numista collection.

1,818 of December's new members selected a nation. 107 nations had at least one new member. 411 are American, 258 are Indian, 220 are France, 104 are British, 95 are Canadian, and 51 are Filipino.

Only 9 of December's users still have not selected a nation for their profile.

There were notable surges in memberships from Canada, Ecuador, Hungary, Ireland, Mongolia, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and the USA.

Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Burundi, Costa Rica, Guernsey, Jersey, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Luxembourg, Namibia, New Caledonia, Panama, Paraguay, Qatar, Rwanda, Saint Vincent, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Taiwan, Uganda, Uruguay, and Zimbabwe each gained one new member.

70% of December's new users belong to one of the Top Ten nations on Numista by user count (USA, France, India, UK, Canada, Belgium, Australia, Brazil, Spain, Portugal). Israel passed Serbia for 32nd rank.

Of the top ten nations, India grew the fastest this month (3.5% increase), while France grew the slowest (1.4%). (The USA grew by 2.4%.)

In dredging through the December 2018 Numista membership data, I came across two things of note:

1) A few users selected "British Palestine" as their country.

2) There were several members whose country was "TO DELETE". I have never seen this before.
