Hi,

I started this documentation, because I saw the 2015 coin here

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2756.html

I'm not very sure about the collar with or without the rear line, but the chains on the collar are different.

Everything except the two different mint marks could be caused by not properly cleaned dies! Do we want to have different year lines for that?

Hi Ole
Iam thinking die cleaning. Look at the lettering right of his chin."LIBERADOR B.O'HIGGINS" The lettering looks very different.
It is, what it is, or is it.
Hi Daryl,

you"re certainly right, but your observation about "LIBERADOR B.O'HIGGINS" is very pertinent.

Utrecht mint, fine lettering

Santiago mint, bold lettering

Now, I don't have any more coins from any of the two mints, so I can't confirm that, but I decidedly would prefer that to show the difference, than just a "not cleaned" die?

Thanks
Ole

Ole here is a Canadian mint 2007. Looks to be fine.

But the thing you should look at is date, maybe. Here is a Santiago 2006 next to the Canadian mint date

The zero's are thin in right one and more round on the left. On your 2015 is the foreign mint have thin numbers in it date.
It is, what it is, or is it.
In your images the Utrecht mint the date looks a bit smaller. not sure
edit I pulled a bag of 20 of them and my newest one is 2013. And I had 3 2007 Canadian ones that look the same
It is, what it is, or is it.
