Then what is the difference between Cycling and Ski. Why we have a tag for Ski but not for cycling. Cycling is even more popular kind of sport worldwide.

In my humble opinion, extend - yes but.. Removing means just destroying the work which has been already done by many contributors. Seems to me, not the best idea.
For example, Soccer in huge category. etc.
