Hello !

So i am trying to fit in in numista cause i am new here and i begin to select some of the coins i want for my collection .

When i open a swap with the other person (and not only 1 but many) they do not response back and i wait also for about 2 weeks and still nothing and sending them 2 -3 messages maximum each . then if they are active they should cancel the swap . i do not want to waste my time to wait on him if he is going to answer or not .

If we open a swap with the other and he is active and not (do not wanna swap right now zzZZzz) and does not like our coins then he should just cancel the swap and not just leave it there for us to wait for a reply .

And when others open a swap with me and saying in the message (wanna swap ? ) i do wanna swap with them . i check the coins i want from him and i select them and he does too when he opens the swap and then AGAIN they do not respond back after that and AGAIN i wait 2 weeks and no reply . X-D

So my opinion is . for example > for those who are not active on numista for 5 - 6 months they should be removed or in his profile it should write on top that (this person is not active for 5 -6 months and it is your responsibility if you want to swap with him/her)

This is my opinion . i do not know about you guys if you have the same problem as me .
Thank you and i will hear your opinions too ! :D

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.
I made my own rule on those who do not rep!y.
I give them 7 days, and if no reply, I delete all messages and the exchange, if I have opened one.
I also make a note of their Numista name, to ensure I do not contact them again, ever.
I do not get up set by this process, just use it as a continuous learning circle.
On the other hand, I reply within 2 days, even if the sender has nothing of interest to me.
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.
For all you banknote collectors. Link to my swap list.

there are a lot of people who even read messages, but do not reply on the swap offers. Even with simple no ant turning it down...:(

i will do something similar like you do . i will give them 5 -6 days to reply back and if not i will decline and hide the swap and also write on they profile comment (not to swap with him ) . i always check numista everyday so i am always active here . Thanks for the idea .

they might be people who just read messages and do not reply . but is it so difficult so cancel the swap ? its just a click of a button . how should we know if he is not interested in the swap ? well we will decline it then for them . B)

I always ask a member if they would like to swap before actually opening a swap. It save time and effort. Although it would be great to know if folks are active or not, no one is under any obligation to respond, I do however.
I do the same....
First ask if they are interested....
Some probably do not cancel ypur swap because they do not really understand the how all the other options work.
Most use this for the catalogue and are not to bothered to swap or to reply.
And if your collection doesn' t change much you do not log in often.

I think this is also wrong and not fair way. It saves YOUR time and efforts while other member shall spend more of HIS time and efforts because YOU want to have a swap. Such requests are always my last priority to reply.

It is much easer to decide to proceed with a swap or not when you understand the coins requested from you.

You are right here too . i will do it too , to ask them in a message and if they agree to proceed then we can do the swap . but sometimes they open a swap with me with no message and they just add or remove coins from the swap list and i am only talking to myself without any response from them

like we all do here learn numista how it works and i think the ( i do not want to swap ) button is very visible in the swap monitor to just click on it . i was also using numista for the catalog only but then i learned further info on how this is website works
