Hello fellow collectors,
i just acquired this old coin (bronze), which depicts as far as I can see, a horse. The coin is originated from Greece.
First of all, should I clean it? Or just leave it be? And if I clean, which method is the most beneficial?
Secondly, would you be able to help me identify it?
This could be this one, from Macedonia : https://fr.numista.com/catalogue/pieces30286.html
For what's left, the design could match, and this is probably the most common bronze coin of the hellenistic period.
About cleaning I don't know but it seems like this one lost major parts of its patina. In my opinion a cleaning would damage it, but I'm not expert at all in cleaning coins. Wait for other opinions.
