Bahamas Coins question [Risolto]

Pubblicazioni di 6
Hello,
Does anyone know which Bahamas 2 dollar silver flamingo coins (1966-1973) were minted by the Royal Mint of London and which were minted by the Franklin Mint in the U.S.? How do you tell them apart?

Thanks
I have seen other Franklin Mint coins that have a small letter f mint mark -
like as mentioned here ...

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
Which isn't to say that is what happened here; and the Royal Mint
do not use a mintmark - so maybe if it has a mark it is Franklin and
it is Royal without. Saying that, this page does have that f on lower right of reverse ...

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
Thank you very much! My 1971-1973 have the Franklin Mint mark but my 1966-1970 do not. Now I'm wondering if the Franklin Mint had exclusive rights to produce these coins during those years or did the Royal Mint of London also produce them simultaneously? Some British Caribbean countries also had coins made by the Royal Canadian Mint, like The Cayman Islands for example.
The Franklin mint did not start minting Bahamian coinage until 1970. Before this, all coins were minted at the Royal mint. All coins minted by the Franklin mint in 1971 and afterwards will always have the FM mintmark.

So, the sources are clear that:
1966: Royal Mint only
1967: Royal Mint only
1968: Royal Mint only
1969: Royal Mint only
1971: Franklin Mint only
1972: Franklin Mint only
1973: Franklin Mint only

The Franklin Mint definitely minted many in 1970 (without the FM mint mark), but I haven’t been able to confirm
whether the Royal Mint minted any in 1970. I tend to doubt it because the reported total mintage is essentially the same as the reported Franklin Mint mintage for that year.

Just for your enlightenment, Your Majesty (?!), the Royal Mint is actually located in Llantrisant, Wales but in any case is known only as the Royal Mint.
