First of all, it is technical modification request. All similar requests were considered without any aggression from the side of Numista team.
Second. smy77 shows disrespect demanding to write in source field personal greeting simultaneously starting his masterpiece without similar greeting at all! It is not just disrespect, it is direct indication of humiliation behavior. A bit out of limits of politeness, socially accepted.
By writing command 'Learn" smy77 command a person who is neither His/Her employee (according to official position there are no employees in this part of Numista) nor His/Her slave. The site is of French origin and such behavior is under the action of French Constitution (article 7, part Declaration of human rights).
No excuses were received in personal messages or any other way from the referee smy77 till now.
Clarifications about this issue from Numista officials are politely required.
You say you feel disrespected, but I am sure smy77 has identical feels to yours. As such, their reply was in no way out-of-line. I, personally, would expect it.
And I will say this with complete honesty (and in the most polite way I can think of): your posts are rather aggressive. This one is no exception. Rather than dismissing smy77's comment as irrelevant, I would hope you think about what they said, think of how you made them feel, and modify the contents of your next posts accordingly (regardless of who may be viewing those posts).
Oh, and please remember: Numista is a community, not a company. It is undoubtedly the most efficient when everyone gets along, and politeness is certainly a good place to start.
Afew things I see and would say it with a open mind.
1. The field reverse, you should put it this way. The mintmark is located below the church letter "D". For me as a new area of this coin region, took me awhile to understand what is it all about.
2. On the field source, you should send a link to say according to this link, they say its a mint mark. For me I feel, it can only partial valid as they are no source to it and we can only assume. You know in numista, everyone is behind a device which we have no way of knowing who is giving a information.
3. The reffree said something about manners. Yes, I agree with him. I suggest next time when you submit a request, start with a hello and end with a thank you. Imagine if you are the referee, and people just slap the comment without saying source, thank you, or hello, Don know who you are, you think you want to carry on be a referee for long term? The referee is kind enough to sacrifice his person time to help ensure that the source of the information is correct and can you just be kind to put a hello and thank you? Noone in numista is been forced to contribute when we join this community in the first day as we are not paid. But to make the community a vibrant and lively place, a hello and thank you is a must.
Be kind to people. Sharing is Caring. Collect what you like and not by the Crowd.
To seek for perfection, it is too painful and there is a very high price to pay. To seek for something comfortable is more easy. To seek for nothing is even more easy.
It's all about perceptions. Sometimes doesn't matter much what we say. It's the way how we say it that counts. Written words can be easely misinterpretated and it's easy to make mistakes, specially when we speak different languages.
In other words, try to be polite in word and friendly in your actions. Respect others and don't be afraid to say "I'm sorry" even when your perception tells you that you didn't nothing wrong.
