Date Wilcard

Is there a way to use wildcards for a date, so if you can’t see the whole date, you can substitute the missing numerals with a *

I know how wildcards works but in this case I don't see this as a massive improvement. Basically you want to use a filter to narrow a list as much as you can but using wildcards on date field it might not be as useful as it looks and you might end up with a lot of unwanted results. Anyway I am not against this, in combination with other filters might be a good feature.

In this case you could also use a date range e.g. for 17*5 -> 1705-1795
