I'm pretty new here, so this could be obvious. When inputting some of my coins the exact condition of a particular coin is missing, but there are values for lower grade coins, so when I put my coin in it's as if it has no value. is there a way around this?

Values are shown when there is a sufficient number of users who have included the coin with the specific grade in their collection and entered their own evaluations. The median of their evaluations is shown as the coin value. See this thread for detailed explanation: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic67354.html
