Hi, has anyone else been having an issue with the drop down boxes when making an edit to the catalog? Everything loads eventually and all is well, it just takes awhile. For example I first must click on the "Select Issuer" drop down box and about 5 seconds later I can see my options. It's after ONLY 10 more seconds of hovering my mouse over the drop down options that I can scroll in the box and select something. This is very annoying as there are so many drop down boxes involved to editing the catalog. Thanks for any help!
This is a known issue, there are simply very many issuers and to many currencies
For me it takes about 1s for the issuers and ~4s for the currencies but sometimes it takes longer.
Maybe if the currency lists are cut down to the possible ones for the issuer this problem is solved.
Something like the tag field could also be an option wher typing gives out a smaller list of options but I have no idea about the performance there?
That is an interesting idea to cut down the currency listings to the possible ones for the issuer. That would surely cut down the time it takes to add something to the catalog.
Offering only the possible currencies depending on the country is actually planned. Before that, we need to complete (or at least progress well) in splitting currencies per country, instead of sharing the same currency for multiple countries.

I am having the same problem, but also when you want to update a picture. The drop down menu for the source of picture. It takes a long time to select the source.

I 100% agree. Drop down boxes are slow all over the site :(
We now have a much smaller list of currencies (see https://en.numista.com/forum/topic78453.html). This should improve the reactivity of the coin modification or addition pages. Does anyone still experience slowness?
CGeorge, I have really no idea why you saw an improvement on Monday. Maybe an update of your web browser or an update or removal of a plugin of your browser...
