Items listed as no date not appearing in advanced searching

If an item does not have a date but has one in brackets() then it does not appear in the advanced search field.

For example a search for coins with 2 as face value within the UK returns the following:


however a search for 1995


returns only coins with 1995 not in brackets. so although the coin does not have 1995 in the year it is attributed with 1995.


I feel that this is an error with the searching algorithm and it is also the same for banknotes, where it will be more of a problem as many notes do not have years on them.

The year-field just returns what is in the yearfield, in this case ND.
If you also want to get ND coins (and coins using other date types), fill in the 1995 in the "Gregorian date" field, that one will give you all results:
