Global Pandemic: the second month...

2,223 new users joined Numista in April 2020, increasing the total member tally by 1.7%. This is the second highest month in Numista's history, after January 2020.

In comparison, Numista added 1,802 new members in April 2019 and 1,560 new members in April 2018.

This April's new members added 140,000 coins into their collections. This is similar to last month, but about twice as much as the historic level. A new trend?

65% of April's new users have not yet entered a coin into their Numista collection.

2,186 of April's new members selected a nation. 108 nations are represented this month. 502 are American, 273 are French, 243 are Indian, 208 are British, and 93 are Canadian.

37 users from April still have not selected a nation.

There were notable surges in memberships from Albania, Austria, Ireland, Luxembourg, Monaco, New Zealand, Pakistan, Panama, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.

Andorra, Armenia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belarus, Cambodia, China, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Martinique, Moldova, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, North Macedonia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe each gained one new member.

72% of April's new users belong to one of the Top Ten nations on Numista by user count (USA, France, India, UK, Canada, Belgium, Australia, Philippines, South Africa, Brazil). Greece passed Hungary for 24th rank.

Of the top ten nations, the UK grew the fastest in March (2.6% increase), while Belgium grew the slowest (1.3%). France grew by 1.4% and the USA grew by 2.1%.

I'd say that the banknote section makes Numista at least twice as interesting for the collecting community!
