Hi,

I recently came across this forum post regarding the compilation of banknote signatures of the various nations & issuing authorities. Since I have a considerable amount of interest in the field of Indian Banknotes, I would like to compile the signatures regarding the same.

The following are the issuers which have issued banknotes for the Indian Subcontinent (present day India):
1. India, Republic of
2. India- British
3. India- Portuguese
4. India- French
5. India- Princely States //This category does not have any reliable cataloging. Thus it would be helpful if others pitch in with their support by means of scans of notes and signatures.

Thus, any help in this regard will be highly appreciated- be it providing information from personal collections, scans or any advice.

In this thread, I wish to compile signatures from India- Republic of. I hope that this project request regarding the compilation of signatures will be implemented by Xavier/ Concerned Administrators.

Regards,
Soubhik Chatterjee.

Hello,

Thanks for the chart and hope everything is fine with you in the aftermath of Cyclone Amphan!

Can you please share a spreadheet, (Google, Excel) otherwise I cannot copy paste from an image.

Also images can be in a folder, named in a recognizable way.

Regards

Hi

I've uploaded the draft (MS Word document file), the final copies (pdf and jpeg) and all the individual signature image files to the cloud. I'm using this cloud service (Yandex Disk) exclusively for numista based stuffs. Hope these all suffices the need. You can copy from the pdf, edit the document, and get the signature images, independently now.

If the above link doesn't work type in this: https://yadi.sk/d/gcah48r8N30L_w

PS- I'm fine. But many people here are not. We are lucky to have utility services restored in this part of the suburbs, but the major parts of the city of Calcutta and it's suburbs are still without water supply and electricty. Some areas are even under water. It's been about 4 days now since the cyclone hit us. Tens of thousands of trees have been uprooted in the storm, blocking roads, snapped electricity cables, breaking water pipes, etc. Millions have been rendered homeless in districts like Medinapur, North and South 24 Praganas. I don't wish to get into more depressing details, but the destruction has no parallel in recent history- a storm of this magnitude is said to have last hit Bengal in 1737, as per few records. A really tough time, when the pandemic urges us to stay at home while the cyclone is making people homeless, by the millions.
Hello Soubhik ,

Many thanks for sending these. All added.

I fixed some of the names for consistency and cropped and fixed a white background for all images. Hope it looks fine.

In case you want to submit more signatures, I only need the doc file + the individual images for the signatures (pdf and jpg of the spreadsheet are not necessary).

Best regards
