I don't really see the point in dividing Australia into two sections (not just two ruling authorites) but that's what we have at present. Having two ruling authorities for a given monarch before and after independence does seem to me to have some merit.
However, we need to be careful about using the term "Dominion", as it has largely been abandoned in the last few decades. Indeed, Jamaica has never used the title "Dominion", it's just "Jamaica". To begin with, one could argue that "dominion" was a description of Jamaica wheras now "Commonwealth realm" is a more acceptable description, but neither have had any official status.
