Hello Ole,
I'm sorry I didn't understand your message.
The color of all the messages has been turned to UNREAD.

Hello,
Do the messages look unread because of the figures on the list of the forum sections or because of the color of the icon in front of the title of the topic (or both)?
Assuming the issue is on the color of the icon, does the issue affect only older forum messages or also the new messages?
If you open a topic, then get back to the list of topics and refresh, does the icon stay orange (unread)?
Which browser and version are you using?
Hi Xavier,

I'm using:

Windows10 home
Yahoo browser

The Forum screenshot:

When the banknotes were introduced, I went there by pure accident and it turned "read" in the colour. Then a couple of days ago it turned into "not read", which suited me fine!

Screenshot of "Numismatic questions"

Here you can see, a former message (before last line), where I made an answer, which is impossible, if I hadn't read the question first...... but it's marked with the unread colour?

Do you need more to analyze the case? Feel free to ask.

As it is now, the "Read" colour is used correctly again, so I'm not really bothered, but it shouldn't happen again.

Amicalement
Ole

Thank you Ole for the details.

Numista remembers whether you read a topic. Topics which have been read are showing with a blue dark blue icon (which is the case for the topic "Dominican Republic 5 Pesos). If you never read the topic or if a new message was posted, the icon is orange.

Additionally, your browser also remembers which pages you already visited. In case the page was already visited in the past (independently of whether new replies were posted), the text of the link is shown in purple. If you never visited the page, the text of the link is shown in blue.
This is a standard functionality of browsers and Numista has little control on it. Your browser may forget which pages you visited, for example if you clear your browser history. In that case, all the links would show back in blue.

I hope this explains what you observed.
Hi Xavier,

that sounds logical. It's probably the explanation. So if I'm tired of seeing everything as read, I just clean my browsers memory! Great8)

I accept your explanation, now knowing I can use it for my own small purposes.

Thanks
