Reference numbers

Hello!
It is a real hassel when the reference numbers do not start with an KM number. This used to be only for Luxembourg but now I see it also for France.
When you download a swap to Excel it also carries this new number (eg France 1943B Franc now shows as F223 instead of KM 902.2. So now I have to verify if this is the same coin or not.
I understand that Krause has been bought by a German company and still has to give KM numbers to all new issues.
Hope you can cme to one standard.
Best Regards,
Ben
Hi
It's the case with any other coin with added more than one reference. Only the first entered reference is a subject to sorting, others are sadly not (yet). We have been "bitching" over this one earlier... B)

Hi!
Could I ask for a manual modification?
It would very much depend on the country referee to allow this or not.
But as a gereral rule could we take the KM # first (if it exist)?
Ben
KM was purchased by an American investment firm not German.
This is also what I do to place KM numbers first for the coins that I referee for but at the moment it is each referee to his own liking.
I do not like KM catalogue too much die to lack or incorrect information But I know that is the reference most people in the world will have.

It should first be set as a general recommendation on Numista to all referees to do so.
