The 2026 set contains the story of the dutch folklore/myth about “de Basilisk van Utrecht”.

De Jaarset wordt als eerst gelanceerd in BU-kwaliteit. Dit zijn de munten die als eerste met een nieuwe muntstempel worden geslagen. Dit zorgt ervoor dat ze extra glimmen. De Jaarset 2026 in BU-kwaliteit bevat alle acht glanzende euromunten van 2026. De munten zitten in een prachtige verpakking, ontworpen door de Koninklijke Nederlandse Munt.
De Jaarset Nederland staat vanaf 2026 tot en met 2030 in het teken van Nederlandse sagen en volksverhalen. Sagen en volksverhalen van eigen bodem ademen mysterie, waarschuwen, betoveren – en nemen u mee naar een tijd waarin achter elke bocht iets bovennatuurlijks kon schuilgaan. Komende jaren staan we, in willekeurige volgorde, stil bij vijf bekende volksverhalen: de Basilisk van Utrecht, de Witte Wieven, de Vliegende Hollander, de Bokkenrijders en het Vrouwtje van Stavoren.

The 2026 Annual Set in BU quality contains all eight shiny euro coins from 2026. The coins are presented in beautiful packaging designed by the Royal Dutch Mint.
From 2026 to 2030, the Annual Set for the Netherlands will be dedicated to Dutch legends and folktales. Homegrown legends and folktales exude mystery, warning, and enchantment—and transport you to a time when something supernatural could lurk around every corner. In the coming years, we will focus, in random order, on five well-known folktales: the Basilisk of Utrecht, the White Ladies, the Flying Dutchman, the Goat Riders, and the Lady of Stavoren.
